Beautifully converted to an extremely high standard from the old linhay with oak and slate floors, cosy window seats, elm spiral staircase, sumptuous beds with first class linen, Great Burrow Cottage makes a stylish and comfortable holiday home.

French doors lead to a private patio and tranquil gardens with wildlife ponds, free-range chickens and ducks, a beautiful honey-coloured cob and stone barn, ancient oak trees and sweeping views of Dartmoor's wild northern tors.

Should you wish to bring your own horses on holiday we have stables and a paddock (about two acres). Just call us to arrange this. There are great walks directly from the cottage taking in streams, forests and valleys many with beautiful far reaching views of Dartmoor and even Bodmin moor.

The cottage sleeps five (plus two on a sofa bed). It has a master double bedroom and upstairs a loft bedroom with three single beds (the beams are a bit low in places so mind your head!) whilst the open plan living room contains the sofa bed. A cot and highchair are available if required.

The kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and slate worktops whilst the contemporary bathroom has a slate floor and large bath with a deluge shower above.

We use a heat exchange system providing constant hot water with underfloor heating that keeps the temperature just right in Summer and super-cosy in Winter.

We aim to make your stay as relaxing and peaceful as possible. When you have had enough of the local sights and activities you can relax at the cottage. Enjoy a camp fire round the firepit as the sun sets on Yes Tor; laze in the hammock under the beautiful willows or play table tennis and darts in the adjacent barn. Inside there is a DVD, Freeview, Wifi, books and binoculars!

We should mention, there is no smoking in the cottage. On arrival a welcome basket will get you started with essentials but feel free to ask us if you need anything.
